MARSHopper vintage bus hire offer a variety of vintage and classic buses from years gone by. Having operated old buses for over 20 years, the staff at MARSHopper have a wealth of experience providing buses for weddings, films, private hire, corporate events and special promotions.

We have available the famous London Routemaster (RM) double decker of the 60’s. Seating up to 72 passengers, these are ideal for taking guests to and from your wedding. Our Routemasters have been have been externally renovated and repainted in the traditional London Bus Red.

We are sorry but our 1954 Guy Special bus is not available for hire this year due to essential renovation work.

When planning your journey, please bear in mind the nature of the route; double deckers are 14'6" (4.42m) high, so watch out for overhanging trees and low bridges, and bear in mind these buses were built for the days when traffic travelled at a more leisurely pace!

Other buses are undergoing restoration at our new premises and will be available for hire in due course. In conjunction with other vintage bus operators, we can ususally supply most types of vintage or classic buses for hire.

Please BEWARE! There are a number of individuals and companies who are known to operate Routemasters and other vintage buses for hire and reward without the appropriate operators' licence, road tax, hire and reward insurance or drivers with the correct driving licence entitlement. Please feel free to get several quotes before you book, but if they are considerably cheaper than us, please check that they are legitimate operators. Your safety may be compromised by using unlicenced buses.

TAXI?? We have Private Hire licences and offer luxury chauffeur-driven car hire services for that special occasion, a trip to the shops or a lift home from the pub!

We operate regular bus services from Rye and Wittersham to Tenterden Homewood School, Route 812.

Our expert engineering staff are available for restoration, repairs, MOT preparation, safety checks or plain simple advice on the running of old buses. We also carry a stock of spares for older buses.

We also have a more modern fleet of double deckers seating up to 78 passengers.

All our buses and cars are fully insured and licenced to carry passengers for hire and reward and our drivers all have the appropriate PCV or Private Hire driving licences.
